Cronus Zen vs Titan Two vs XIM Matrix for NBA 2K27: which device actually has scripts?

Why is this even a comparison?

Because people ask. "Cronus Zen vs Titan Two" is one of the most-searched device questions and the answer for shooters is genuinely contested. For NBA 2K27 it is not, and we would rather explain why than pretend there is a debate.

A controller adapter is only as useful as the scripts written for it. The NBA 2K27 script market — every vendor on our rankings, every aggregator library, every Discord — ships GPC files for the Cronus Zen. We searched for Titan Two 2K27 scripts and found community forum threads, not vendors. We searched for XIM 2K27 scripts and found nothing, because that is not what a XIM is for.

The three devices

Cronus Zen: where the scripts are

The Zen is the platform because it is the platform. Collective Minds has shipped free GamePacks and a community GPC library for years, the scripting language is documented, and the 2K script vendors — YewScripts, FeatureZens, ClipZ Aim, Avenged, Ozark, glcrify and the aggregators — all build for it.

In 2026 the toolchain moved from the Windows-only desktop Zen Studio (now labelled LEGACY, version 1.6.1 Build 82) to Zen Studio Live, a browser-based programmer using WebUSB in Chrome, Edge or Opera. Firmware reference is 2.2.14. The move broke a lot of older scripts (one aggregator recompiled 426 of them) and every vendor on our list now ships Live-compatible files.

Weaknesses: 8 slots of 32 KB each is tight for large scripts; the PS5 story is Remote Play with the latency that implies; and the device is now named explicitly in Epic's and Activision's enforcement policies, which says something about how platform holders regard it even if 2K has not followed. Titan Two: the better tool with no 2K27 scripts

The Titan Two is, by most technical measures, the more capable device. Gtuner IV is a real IDE; the GPC dialect supports more; the device officially passes through a XIM APEX for mouse-and-keyboard players who also want scripts. The community around ConsoleTuner is smaller and more technical.

For NBA 2K27 none of that matters, because nobody is maintaining 2K27 timing tables for it. You could port a Zen script — the languages are related — but you would be maintaining your own offsets through every patch, which defeats the point of buying a script. We looked for Titan Two 2K27 vendors on September 2 and found none with a live page.

If you play shooters and want scripts, Titan Two deserves a look. For 2K, it is a $139.99 device with nothing to load.

XIM Matrix: not a script platform

XIM Matrix is a mouse-and-keyboard translator. Its Smart Translator system maps mouse movement to controller aim; its Smart Actions feature can record and replay input sequences. It is excellent at what it does and it is not designed for the thing 2K scripts do, which is hold a button for a build-specific number of milliseconds chosen from a maintained table.

Nobody sells 2K27 timing scripts for it. Playing NBA 2K with a mouse and keyboard on console is a separate conversation, and not one that leads to auto-green.

Note that Activision's Season 02 detections named XIM Matrix alongside Cronus Zen, and The Verge's reporting covered bans for both. The "it's just a translator" position did not protect XIM users in Call of Duty.

The PS5 problem all three share

Every one of these devices works on PlayStation by presenting itself as a licensed controller. Sony has changed how the PS5 authenticates controllers at least twice — system software 24.01-08.60.00 in January 2024 and an unannounced update reported in July 2026 — and each time, adapters broke.

Cronus's answer is the Zen LINK module over PS Remote Play, officially supported and documented, with the latency cost described in our PS5 setup guide. Titan Two and XIM users have leaned on third-party pass-through adapters such as the Besavior U5, which we have not tested and whose manufacturer pricing we could not verify (a German reseller listed it at about €61).

On Xbox Series X|S all three connect directly over USB and none of this applies. It is the reason Xbox is our reference platform.

What about the Strike Pack and ReaSnow?

Collective Minds' Strike Pack line adds paddles and simple mods to a controller; it is not a scripting platform in the Zen's sense and we found no 2K27 scripts for it. ReaSnow S1 is another mouse-and-keyboard converter, also named in Activision's detection announcement; no 2K27 relevance.

So which one?

For NBA 2K27 scripts: Cronus Zen. Not because it is the best-engineered device — it probably is not — but because it is the only one the scripts exist for. Buy it with a Zen LINK if you are on PS5, and read the ban-risk guide before you buy either, because 2K's Code of Conduct does not distinguish between devices when it says "unauthorized third-party tools."
