Hoops vs yew2K: same vendor, $15 apart, which NBA 2K27 script should you buy?
Hoops ($50 on hoopers.gg) and yew2K ($64.99) come from the same vendor family. One has no menu; one has a generator. We tested both on three builds and explain exactly who should buy which.
What is the relationship?
Both scripts come from the YewScripts family, which runs several storefronts: yew.gg and yew2k.com (yew2K), yewscripts.com (Green, Hoops, Prime), hoopers.gg (Hoops only), auto-green.gg (Green only), cronus.gg (Auto-Green). Same Discord ecosystem, same weekly update rhythm, same v1.3 same-day file.
They are different products, though, and the vendor does not explain the difference well. So:
Hoops is the preset script. No menu. Hard-coded modes for MyCareer, Park, Rec and Pro-Am, each with a single auto-green offset tuned to cover common builds in that mode. Load, select, play. Review →
yew2K is the generator script. You fill in height, release speed and latency on a web form, download a .gpc with those values compiled in, load it. A menu exists for fade and no-dip modes and fine adjustment. Review →
The numbers
Xbox Series X, wired, meter off, Set Point, standard drill set:
| Drill | Build | Hoops | yew2K |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open threes (50) | 6'4" guard | 45 (90%) | 46 (92%) |
| Open threes (50) | 6'8" wing | 44 (88%) | 46 (92%) |
| Open threes (50) | 7'0" centre | 41 (82%) | 44 (88%) |
| Off-dribble (50) | 6'4" guard | 39 (78%) | 43 (86%) |
| Off-dribble (50) | 6'8" wing | 38 (76%) | 42 (84%) |
| Fades (25) | 6'8" wing | 18 (72%) | 21 (84%) |
| Fades (25) | 7'0" centre | 15 (60%) | 19 (76%) |
| Free throws (25) | all | 25 | 25 |
PS5 over Zen LINK ran 4–6 points lower for both, and the gap between them widened by another 2–3 points because yew2K's latency field lets you compensate and Hoops has nothing to adjust.
Read the table by rows, not by totals. On open threes with a guard, one shot in fifty separates them. On fades with a centre, it is four in twenty-five.
Who should buy Hoops
- You play a guard or wing with an average or fast release.
- Most of your shots are catch-and-shoot.
- You are on Xbox Series X|S (or your PS5 latency is already close to the vendor baseline).
- You want to load one file and never think about it.
- You are price-sensitive: $50 versus $64.99.
Buy it from https://www.hoopers.gg. The same file is $65 on yewscripts.com, which would make it more expensive than yew2K for a less capable script.
Who should buy yew2K
- You shoot fades, hop jumpers, step-backs or post shots regularly.
- You play a big with a slow release.
- You are on PS5 over Zen LINK and need to enter a latency value.
- You want to fix timing yourself when a patch drifts a jumper, rather than wait for a file.
- You run more than one build and want each tuned separately (regenerate per build, one slot each).
Buy it at https://www.yew2k.com (301s to checkout on yew.gg/2k). The live title is the NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script.
What about Green?
Green ($65 on yewscripts.com, $50 on auto-green.gg) is the third option from the same family: a full menu with every toggle exposed, no generator. It tested within a point of yew2K. If you like OLED menus and hate web forms, Green from auto-green.gg at $50 is the value pick. If you do not, it is yew2K with more steps. Rankings →
The honest summary
The vendor is selling three overlapping scripts across five storefronts at two price points for what is mostly one offset table with different front ends. Hoops is the front end for people who want zero effort. yew2K is the front end for people who want control over their own build. Green is the front end for people who want control over everything. Buy from the cheapest storefront for the front end you want.

FAQ
- Is Hoops the same as yew2K?
- No. Same vendor family, same update cadence, different products. Hoops is a preset script with no menu and a single tuned offset per mode. yew2K compiles a per-build offset through a web generator and exposes a menu.
- Which greens more?
- yew2K, by 2 to 4 points on open threes and 10 to 12 points on fades in our drills. On catch-and-shoot threes with an average-release guard or wing the gap is small enough that many players will not notice.
- Which is cheaper?
- Hoops at $50 on hoopers.gg. The same Hoops file is $65 on yewscripts.com, which is more than yew2K's $64.99, so make sure you are buying from the right storefront.
- Can I run both?
- Technically yes, in different slots, but there is no reason to. Pick one.
- Which is better on PS5?
- yew2K, because its generator has a latency field. PS5 over Zen LINK adds 15 to 40 ms that a preset script cannot compensate for.
