Vertex Zens overview: the subscription library, the free tier, and why its 2K script is still 2K26

Vertex Zens sells memberships from $15/month to $200 lifetime for a 1,000+ script library, plus one-time scripts like Green AI ($45, still NBA 2K26). What the tiers include, what the free tier is good for, and what to know before subscribing for 2K27.

What Vertex Zens is

A multi-game Cronus Zen site with three things going on:

  1. A library. Claimed 1,000+ scripts across 38 games, a mix of community uploads and third-party creators' files. Older 2K26 scripts like Jump At It V4 and Glory v5 are hosted here for free.
  2. Memberships that unlock more downloads, "Auto Tune" AI optimisation features and Discord roles.
  3. One-time scripts Vertex sells under its own name: Green AI 2026 (NBA 2K26, $45), Apex Predator S29 ($35), Dead Eye (CoD), MLB 26, and others.

It also runs a high-volume blog of per-game roundups, which is where a lot of people first encounter it.

The tiers

TierMonthlyLifetimeWhat you get (per the shop page)
Free5 downloads/week, ad-gated (LootLabs)
Standard$15$60Unlimited ad-free downloads, 500+ scripts, AI Script Overviews, Standard Discord role
VIP$25$120Auto Tune V3, 1,000+ scripts, recommended values, VIP role
Ultimate$40$2005,000+ scripts, Auto Tune V3 Pro Mode, values, 1-on-1 priority support

Prices checked September 2, 2026. Note the script counts scale with tier, which tells you the "1,000+ scripts" headline is the VIP number, not the Standard one.

The 2K problem

Vertex's own NBA 2K script is Green AI 2026, $45 one-time, and on September 2 its page still described an NBA 2K26 product. Features listed: AI-tuned Auto Green, dribble combo library, reactive defense, input randomisation, jumpshot optimiser per build and badge, per-buyer watermarked .gpc. No 2K27 build.

The library's 2K content is likewise 2K26: the free Jump At It V4 (added April 2026), Glory v5 and a Hoops-Plus file (added February 2026), all last-cycle builds. Jump At It review →

So a 2K27 player subscribing today is paying for a library whose basketball section is a year old. That may change; Vertex updates quickly for shooters and might for 2K. It had not on the date we checked.

Who is actually building the scripts?

Mixed. Vertex sells one-time scripts under its own name, but the Apex Predator S29 product page credits outside builders by name. We mention that because it matters for support and updates: a script credited to outside builders depends on those builders' continued involvement, and the page does not say what the arrangement is.

The library, meanwhile, is largely other people's files, some uploaded by their creators and some not. Vertex's own FAQ for one product states a view on anti-cheat detection ("does not currently detect Cronus Zen on console") that we would not repeat as fact; see the ban-risk guide.

The "anti-detection input randomization" claim

Green AI 2026's feature list includes "anti-detection input randomization." The idea is to add small random variation to release timing so that the inputs look less machine-like to behavioural detection.

Two things. First, randomising the release timing of an auto-green script makes it green less; the whole point of the script is consistency. Second, no vendor can know what a publisher's detection looks for, so "anti-detection" is a claim about an unknown. We would treat it as marketing. It does not make the script undetectable, and Vertex's own terms do not claim otherwise.

What the free tier is good for

Learning, honestly. The free tier gives you five downloads a week behind an ad gate, and the 2K26 files there are enough to teach you slots, Zen Studio Live, the OLED menu and what an offset does. That is worth doing before you spend $50–$65 on a 2K27 script. Free vs paid →

Should you subscribe for 2K27?

No. Not because Vertex is bad — for a multi-game player the lifetime Standard at $60 is a reasonable library price — but because its 2K content is 2K26 and its own 2K script is 2K26. For NBA 2K27 you want one maintained 2K27 file from a vendor with a patch-day update record, and that is a one-time purchase from the rankings, not a subscription.

If Vertex ships a Green AI 2K27 with a real update channel, we will test it.

The usual caveat

Every file on Vertex, free or paid, is an unauthorized third-party tool under 2K's Code of Conduct, with penalties up to a permanent account or device ban. Ban risk →

FAQ

What does Vertex Zens cost?
Free tier (5 downloads a week, ad-gated); Standard $15/month or $60 lifetime; VIP $25/month or $120 lifetime; Ultimate $40/month or $200 lifetime. One-time scripts are sold separately, such as Green AI 2026 at $45. Prices checked September 2, 2026.
Is Vertex Zens' NBA 2K script updated for 2K27?
No. Green AI 2026 was still listed as an NBA 2K26 product on September 2, 2026, with no 2K27 build.
Is Vertex Zens a creator or an aggregator?
Both. It hosts a large multi-game library of community and third-party files (including free 2K26 scripts like Jump At It V4 and Glory v5) and sells its own one-time scripts. One of its product pages credits outside builders, so treat the creator relationships as mixed.
Is a subscription worth it for NBA 2K27?
Not today, because the library's 2K content is 2K26. If you play several games and want a broad library, the maths is different. For 2K27 alone, a one-time script from the rankings is the better buy.
What is the free tier good for?
Learning. It hosts older 2K26 files you can load to understand slots, menus and offsets without paying. It will not green a 2K27 jumper.
